Hunter appoints interim chief executive

Hunter has appointed former Jigsaw head Chris Stephenson as its interim chief executive.
According to Drapers, he will take over from Paolo Porta who has now been named as the new chief executive of Smythson.
Stephenson was the managing director of JD Sports owned Size? Footpatrol and Hip from 2019 to 2021 and worked with Jigsaw for nearly five years, firstly as chief executive then subsequently as non-executive chairman until April 2023. He has also served in senior roles at Pentland Brands, including as chief executive of Canterbury.
Hunter embarked on a sale process earlier this year. According to reports, Reebok owner Authentic Brands Group is currently the preferred bidder.
