Charles Tyrwhitt names Rebecca Howat as new managing director
Charles Tyrwhitt has promoted Rebecca Howat to the position of managing director as it looks ahead to its next phase of growth.
Howat has worked with the menswear brand for more than 12 years, initially as head of merchandising. Since then, she has held a number of senior leadership roles with the most recent being chief operating officer where she was appointed to the board. Prior to Charles Tyrwhitt, she worked with Arcadia Group for five years.
Subscribe to TRBThe appointment follows a recent leadership restructure, which included Luke Kingsnorth being promoted to the role of group chief executive of Bectin, a holding company for Charles Tyrwhitt and The White Company.
Kingsnorth said: “I’m delighted to see Rebecca step into the role of managing director. She knows Charles Tyrwhitt inside out, brings huge commercial and operational experience, and has a real understanding of what it takes to lead the business.”
Howat said: “I’m thrilled to be stepping into the role of managing director at Charles Tyrwhitt. Having been part of the journey for 12 years, I feel incredibly proud of what we’ve built so far and really excited about leading the business into its next chapter.”
