BoohooMAN launches first student designed capsule collection

BoohooMAN has launched its first student designed capsule collection following a competition last year.

Running from September to October 2021, the competition gave students the chance to showcase their talent by submitting a collection of their own designs, which were then judged by the retailer’s head of design Shane Chin.

The winning entry came from Jasmine Young who will see her  collection being made available for sale on boohooMAN.com on 3 May. She has also won a cash prize of £2,000 and the chance to go into the retailer’s head office to design her own range and receive her full collection.

Chin said: “At BoohooMAN we thrive on creative collaborations. We had lots of strong entries for the competition but Jasmines’ project stood out to us as we felt it was on brand the most. It was cohesive from start to finish and had all key design traits; bold personality, creative flair and disruptive appeal which is exactly what we look for in designs.

“We’re excited to launch Jasmine’s collection as she is a great ambassador for young emerging talent. We hope to launch further design competitions in future, so would encourage any aspiring creatives to get involved.”
