He has previously held HR director and change director roles at Ericsson, Serco and BP, including international roles based in Sweden and the USA. At BP he was HR Global Operation Director for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. He has also worked as a consultant on change programmes including the Cabinet Office/No10 and the NHS as well as working on the London 2012 Olympics with TfL. Martin is a Fellow of the RSA and CIPD. Martin has decided to leave full time employment to become a career and executive coach with effect from 1 November. He will also take on new non-executive director roles, Mentor with the Prince’s Trust and the Guild of HR professionals.

Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental in 2016, Jon worked for the luxury lifestyle brand EDITION where he assumed the role of opening HR Director for The London EDITION property and was instrumental in the opening of the hotel in 2013 and the creation of the EDITION employer brand that lives strong to this date. As well as leading the HR team in London Jon also played a strategic role in working alongside the EDITION global brand team in New York driving new initiatives within the HR field and supporting the on property HR teams in the openings of the Miami Beach and the New York EDITION properties in 2014 and 2015. In 2010 Jon successfully held the role of opening Director of Human Resources for The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London which at that time was one of the most anticipated hotel openings within Marriott International. Jon graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Hotel & Tourism Management and started his career in Florida, USA with the luxury hotel company Boca Resorts Inc before joining Marriott International in 2002 on Marriot’s graduate program and progressed within the company holding various roles within HR throughout the UK.

Tony Cooke was appointed HR Director at Adidas UK in 2001. The pace of change in the organisation has been markedly rapid, since starting this role he has played a key part in integration with Holland and Belgium, the acquisition of the Reebok business and more latterly the integration of the Nordics to create Adidas North Europe. Tony started his HR career at William Baird plc, where he was offered the chance to create his own HR function. During the next eight years, he was able to implement best practice tools and processes from a HR perspective but also start to learn about all of the key commercial elements associated with a large organisation. In 1990 he was appointed HR Director for the Outerwear arm of William Baird and in 1995 he was promoted to Divisional HR Director, providing a HR service to businesses in Holland, Ireland and Sweden. Tony has an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Management Application and has attended a Director’s Development Programme at Insead.
