Wolford chief executive steps down
Wolford, the premium hosiery and fashion brand, has announced that its longstanding chief executive Holger Dahmen is to leave the business at the end of January.
The Austrian based company, which has nine shops in the UK, said that Dahmen was stepping down “at his own request” in order to seek new challenges after ten years in the role.
Wolford chairman Emil Flückiger said: “In the past ten years, Holger Dahmen managed the company with great aptitude and guided it through the difficulties of economic and currency crises. We regret his retirement very much and wish him all the success for his future career.”
Wolford’s Supervisory Board has now begun the search for Dahmen’s successor and is looking for candidates with relevant experience in the marketing and sale of luxury products. In the meantime, the company will be led by Management Board members Axel Dreher and Thomas Melzer.
Flückiger added: “Through the temporary allocation of executive responsibilities to Axel Dreher and Thomas Melzer, an efficient and smooth implementation of the lately decided refocusing strategy is guaranteed. Both gentlemen have extensive experience in their respective areas of responsibility as well as in the implementation of a strategic refocusing and will thereby be supported by a strong team in the operating management level.”
