Occa Home appoints Bob Willett to its board

Online designer furniture retailer Occa Home has appointed Bob Willett, the former head of BestbuyÂ’s international operations, to its board following investment from ASOS backers The William Currie Group.

Currently chairman of Metapack, Willett joins the retailer as it continues to develop its growth and international expansion plans.

Kate Mooney, founder and chief executive of Occa Home, said: "Our strategy for Occa is not about raising money in isolation - it's about attracting an experienced team of experts who will make a tangible and sustainable difference to the business - therefore we’re all delighted to welcome Bob to the board and as a shareholder and look forward to the results of adding his skills and experience to the team."

Established in 2009, Occa Home's sales have more than doubled year-on-year, delivering growth of 185% in the 2011/12 financial year.
