John Lewis sales down 3.5% last week
John Lewis & Partners saw its sales drop by 3.5% year-on-year last week.

There was strong demand for the department store's own brand clothing ranges with the standout performer being Modern Rarity where sales were up 52%. Womenswear accessories also performed well with sales rising by 14.1% on the corresponding week last year.
Home sales declined by 7.2% although estimator appointments for window products and flooring were up 9% and 6% respectively.
