Cash Converters invests in purpose built training bus

Cash Converters has invested in a purpose built 12-seater bus which has been specially designed to create a mobile classroom in which to train its staff.

The bus started its nationwide tour this month and has been visiting stores and offering door step training to employees.

Equipped with all the learning tools found in a professional training venue, the vehicle is being used to boost employees’ skills in a range of key skill areas including a new computer system, compliance, buying and customer service.

David Patrick, chief executive of Cash Converters, said: “Ongoing training for our employees is key to delivering continuous improvement within Cash Converters. Our people are our most important asset and have to be at the heart of our improvement. The mobile classroom demonstrates our commitment to our staff to improve their skills and develop their careers, while also ensuring our customers continue to receive excellent service. It guarantees staff are fully compliant with all of our key procedures for buying, selling and helping customers.

“In addition, the bus will dramatically reduce travel time and expense for employees to attend training sessions, and increase flexibility and accessibility when delivering training programmes, enabling more people to benefit from our courses.“
