Sanctuary Bathrooms doubles warehouse space after record online sales

Sanctuary Bathrooms is more than doubling its warehouse footprint after a record year for online revenue, with the lease of a new 16,353 square foot warehouse in Holbeck.

The family run retailer is also investing in its fulfilment capacity, product range, and its team.

The new site in Leeds adds to its existing 12,000 square foot warehouse operation, taking Sanctuary Bathrooms’ total warehouse footprint beyond 28,000 square feet.

The investment follows strong growth across Sanctuary Bathrooms’ ecommerce operation, with online revenue and transactions both increasing at double-digit rates between 2024 and 2025, and 2025 marking being a record year for online revenue.

The additional space will allow Sanctuary Bathrooms to hold more stock on site and reduce its reliance on external storage during peak trading periods. It will also allow the retailer to shorten customer lead times, broaden and diversify its product range, and strengthen existing supplier relationships.

Sanctuary Bathrooms director James Roberts said: “We have never shied away from investing in our people or the infrastructure needed to grow, and securing this additional warehouse capacity is an important step in scaling the business.

“Customers increasingly expect fast and reliable fulfilment, while retailers also need the resilience to respond to changing trading conditions and pressures across the supply chain. Holding more stock ourselves gives us greater control over availability and the customer experience, while reducing our reliance on external storage.

“It also gives us room to broaden our product offering, develop our own-brand ranges further, and build relationships with new suppliers as we continue to grow.”
