The appointments come as the kitchen retailer builds momentum behind its three-year growth plan and operates as a standalone UK business under new ownership

With 15 years’ senior leadership experience across retail and ecommerce, Nichols (pictured right) previously served as customer and commercial sirector at Toolstation. Before that, he held senior leadership roles at Studio Retail, Dixons Carphone and Sainsbury’s.

In his new role, he will head up Magnet’s customer and commercial teams as the business looks to strengthen the customer proposition, expand market reach and deliver sustainable growth.

Meanwhile, Tooth (pictured left) has held senior roles at Greencore and PepsiCo, and most recently served as operations and supply chain director at Moores Furniture Group. He has also previously worked with Morrisons where he was head of retail improvement and development.

Sophie Rose, chief executive of Magnet Group, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rupert and Guy to our business. Rupert brings strong commercial leadership and will play a key role in helping us continue to grow while staying firmly focused on delivering a high-quality experience for our customers.

“At the same time, our British manufacturing and heritage remain a real strength for us. With Guy’s hands-on manufacturing experience and deep knowledge of the KBB industry, he will play an important role in shaping a supply chain that’s fit for the future and supports our wider growth ambitions.”
