HEMA to launch Tottenham Court Road store
HEMA is to open a new flagship store on London’s Tottenham Court Road.
The opening will bring the number of HEMA stores in London to five and the total number in the UK to seven.
With a floor space of 350 square metres, the store is HEMA’s largest to date. To mark the launch, a branded HEMA taxi will be on hand transporting guests to and from the store.
The shop will be officially opened by Dutch Ambassador Simon Smit at 10am on Wednesday 22 November.
Richard Flint, international director and HEMA management team, member said: ‘International expansion is an important part of our growth strategy. We see big opportunities for growth in the UK and especially in London. Our strategy will primarily focus on establishing a presence of several HEMA stores per city and we are particularly excited by this store, which will now be our flagship in the UK.”
The HEMA store formula is based on the living spaces within the home and organised around themes such as study, living, cook, baby & child, beauty and personal care.
