Bensons for Beds delivers best EBITDA performance since 2019
Bensons for Beds has delivered its strongest profitability since it was acquired in 2019.
It has also reported sustained sales growth and market share gains despite what it described as a “challenging consumer environment”.
Subscribe to TRBIn the year to 27 September 2025, adjusted EBITDA grew by £5.7 million to £4.8 million to mark the group’s strongest EBITDA performance since 2019.
There was also an uplift in gross ordered sales which increased by 4% to £324.8 million.
Bensons attributed the performance to improved conversion, stronger store leadership, focused cost control and continued investment in staff expertise and the customer experience.
It also benefited from the addition of 21 new stores which took it closer to its long-term target of over 200 locations. Openings included a new flagship store in London’s West End in Tottenham Court Road.
Nick Collard, chief executive of Bensons for Beds, said: “This has been a really important year for Bensons for Beds. It’s still a tough market and there’s no getting away from that, but what’s genuinely changed is how we show up every day for our customers and for each other.
“We’ve invested in our people, our stores and the overall customer experience, and stayed focused on what we can control.
“The improvement in EBITDA and cash generation reflects that, but behind the numbers is a business that feels more confident, more capable and more consistent.”
The company said trading in the first four months of the new financial year has surpassed the 4% sales growth delivered in FY25, with EBITDA also ahead of the prior year.
