Bensons for Beds appoints former DFS exec John Rastall as commercial director

Bensons for Beds has appointed former DFS executive John Rastall as commercial director.

Rastall joined the business on 10 August and reports to Mark Slater, Bensons’ chief commercial officer.

He has spent the last nine years at furniture retailer DFS, most recently as head of commercial for DFS Home & Dwell. He previously held buying roles at Home Retail Group and Dunelm.

Bensons said Rastall’s experience in developing compelling product propositions and leading high performing trading teams will strengthen its commercial capability as the business evolves and pursues its long-term growth ambitions.

Slater said: “John combines deep sector knowledge with strong commercial leadership and a real enthusiasm for the opportunity ahead at Bensons. He will play an important role as we strengthen our offer for customers and build the business for future growth.”
