Alternative Flooring names new managing director
Alternative Flooring has appointed Stephen Brooks as its new managing director.
With more than 25 years’ leadership experience gained from multinational, listed and investor-backed
businesses, Brooks previously served as chief operating officer at Kingsway Group. Prior to that, he was operations and IT director at Croydex.
Commenting on his new role, Brooks said: “I am delighted to be joining Alternative Flooring at such an exciting point in its journey.
“I have already been hugely impressed by the passion, creativity and talent across the business.
“My initial focus will be on listening and understanding the business through the people who have made it successful, while building on the strong foundations already in place.”

Alternative Flooring has also announced that creative and marketing director Lorna Haigh will be moving to a strategic consultancy role after 25 years with the business. This will include working with the marketing team on the ongoing development and launch of key product offerings, and providing creative support to
Brooks as he leads the company forward.
Haigh said: “I am delighted to continue in a creative capacity at Alternative and very much look forward to working with Stephen and the team.”
Brooks added: I would also like to recognise Lorna’s enormous contribution over many years, and I am pleased that the business will continue to benefit from her experience and creativity in her consultancy role.
“Alternative Flooring has a unique brand, a talented team and exciting opportunities ahead, and I am
looking forward to helping shape the next chapter of growth and success.”
