Specsavers opens new flagship store on Tottenham Court Road
Specsavers has opened a new flagship store on London’s Tottenham Court Road following a £1.2 million investment.
The site is a relocation as Specsavers’ previous store was situated just across the road.
Subscribe to TRBThe new locally owned and run store features the latest diagnostic testing equipment and digital screens highlighting offers, and also has an extensive range of designer glasses and value-led frames for customers to choose from.
On the opening day, Dame Mary Perkins, co-founder of Specsavers, joined in with the celebrations and cut the green ribbon.
Commenting on the opening, Dame Mary said: “Specsavers has been proud to serve the West End for many years, and this new store is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to the local community.
“We’re delighted to continue building strong relationships here, offering trusted care and creating a welcoming space for everyone who walks through our doors.”
Customers will be able to benefit from state-of-the-art equipment, including OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography). There is also a dedicated audiology centre, five consulting rooms, a diagnostic testing area and contact lens station.
Ophthalmic director Sirjit Sanghera said: “We’re thrilled that Dame Mary is able to be with us today celebrating our new-look store, which offers customers a more streamlined experience, including an updated IT system and access to the very latest diagnostic hospital grade equipment.”
