Specsavers makes three appointments to its executive leadership team
Specsavers has made three new appointments to its executive leadership team to support ongoing growth.
Previously managing director for UK/ROI optics, Peter Bainbridge (pictured) has been appointed as regional director for Europe. In his new position, he will oversee Specsavers’ combined European region, which includes the optics, audiology, and Newmedica businesses across the UK and Republic of Ireland. His remit will also include Northern Europe – covering Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
Meanwhile, Carina Hummel, formerly managing director – UK/ROI audiology, has succeeded Bainbridge as managing director – UK/ROI optics. Having worked with Specsavers for over 25 years, she has been a member of the company’s executive board since September 2022.
In a final appointment, Charlotte Hall, previously supply chain commercial director, has stepped into Hummel’s prior role, where she will lead the growth strategy for Specsavers’ audiology business. Before joining Specsavers in 2021, she held senior positions at both Co-op and Asda.
Never Miss a Retail Update!John Perkins, chief executive of Specsavers, said: “I am delighted to welcome these outstanding leaders to their new roles. Each brings a wealth of experience, a strong track record of success and a shared passion for delivering exceptional care and service to our customers.
“These three appointments will allow us to continue to grow and innovate as a business so that we can meet the evolving needs of our partners and colleagues, enabling them to deliver expert eye and hearing care to the customers and communities we serve.
“I look forward to working closely with Peter, Charlotte and Carina as we build the next chapter of Specsavers’ success.”
