Boots to recruit for over 6,000 seasonal roles

Boots is recruiting more than 6,000 seasonal roles across its stores, warehouses and customer support centre as it prepares for the busy Christmas trading period.

The health and beauty retailer is hiring around 4,000 in-store customer advisors to help serve and deliver expert advice to shoppers, alongside 1,000 customer operations assistants in hybrid in-store roles. These assistants will help fulfil online orders while supporting the day-to-day running of stores.

Meanwhile, 1,600 roles are available at the Boots Beeston and Burton-on-Trent distribution centres, including warehouse operatives and picker packers

Boots is also recruiting for 350 roles in its customer support centre where staff will help customers with their queries during the festive season.

Donna Hodgins, director of talent acquisition at Boots, said: “Colleagues who join our business over the festive period will be an integral part of our team at the most exciting time of year for retail.

“These roles are perfect opportunities for anyone looking to explore career paths in the retail industry, providing valuable experience that could potentially lead to a permanent position in future.

“Provided you have a passion for customer service and being a team player, everyone is welcome at Boots.”

This year, Boots is supporting young people find work through its Get into Retail and Get into Distribution schemes, run in partnership with The King’s Trust and delivered in 28 stores and its Nottingham warehouse.
