Beauty Bay is understood to be exploring options to raise new funding through a process that could ultimately lead to a sale of the business.

According to Sky News, the online beauty retailer has appointed advisory firm Interpath to undertake a strategic review.

Sources told the news site that Beauty Bay is seeking either an investment partner or a buyer to help stabilise the business and support its next phase of growth. The sources added that the process to secure new investment is expected to begin this week.

Beauty Bay is owned by brothers Arron and David Gabbie, who founded the business in 1999 as Fragrance Bay. The retailer is currently focused on expanding its By Beauty Bay own-brand product range.

The owners launched a sale process in 2022, which did not result in a transaction.

Manchester based Beauty Bay offers more than 200 brands on its site including the likes of Clinique, MAC Cosmetics and Eve Lom.
