Asda adds 87 new ready meals, including Pizzagne

Asda has added 87 new products to its ready meal range as the supermarket continues its focus on own-brand innovation.

Among the new additions is the Pizzagne, which Asda described as a mash-up of traditional layers of lasagne topped with classic pizza toppings.

Priced at £6.57, the Pizzagnes are available in two flavours, Double Pepperoni and Meatball Marinara, and are designed to serve a family of four.

Other new products include Salt & Pepper Chicken Munch Boxes, a reimagined Chinese-inspired dish, and new meal boxes as part of Asda’s Bom Bahia range. These include Tandoori Smoked Butter Chicken and Slow Cooked Beef Madras, and Kashmiri Style Korma Chicken and Tikka Masala.

For shoppers looking to elevate their evening meal, Asda has also added new fresh pasta dishes to its Exceptional range. The supermarket said the stars of the show include the Lobster & Prawn Ravioli with Brown Butter and Beef & Chianti Tortelloni with Parmesan Butter, both priced at £4.

Rachel Ambler, product development manager of ready meals at Asda, said: “This new range of ready meals all falls back on our commitment to give customers more of what they love whilst making sure they’re still at Asda prices.

“We’ve really looked to add more novelty and creativity to our ranges to add a that touch of excitement to family weekly meals, whilst also ensuring our Exceptional range provides restaurant-worthy quality and taste, but without the premium price tag attached.”
