M&S expands Amazon presence to the Netherlands with 1,000+ fashion products

M&S has extended availability on Amazon to the Netherlands as it looks to boost new channel growth and build trust as a global brand.

Having begun its partnership with the retail giant in February with Amazon Stores in France, Germany, Spain and Italy, it is now launching a Netherlands store which will offer a selection of M&S fashion, with over 1,000 womenswear, menswear and kidswear products.

M&S fashion has been available in the Netherlands since 2022 through marketplace channels such as Zalando. The retailer said sales have surged by 46% in the last six months, meaning it is now the second best performing country for marketplace sales.

Mark Lemming, managing director of international at M&S, said: “Our partnership with Amazon continues to grow with momentum. As we continue to accelerate our new channel growth, we’re delighted to respond to demand from customers in the Netherlands and expand our product offer in the market, bringing the exceptional quality and value of M&S fashion to more people.”

M&S is currently building its omnichannel international business through the expertise and infrastructure of strategic partners, using scalable operating models which are capital light. In the Netherlands, M&S will utilise Amazon’s local fulfilment network, with next day delivery available to customers.

Eva Faict, country manager Amazon.nl, said: “We’re excited to bring another much-loved global brand to Amazon in the Netherlands, helping us offer customers even greater selection. With over 1,000 items across popular categories including womenswear, menswear, and kidswear, customers can now shop M&S fashion with the convenience and fast delivery they expect from Amazon.”
