Frasers Group rides to rescue of Frog Bikes
Frasers Group is continuing on the acquisition trail by riding to the rescue of children’s cycle brand Frog Bikes.
According to Sky News, the group has struck a deal to acquire the business following Frog Bikes’ entry into administration earlier this year.
Subscribe to TRBAdministrators at FRP Advisory initiated a sales process in early March and it is understood that a number of offers were received from prospective buyers.
The Sports Direct owner already owns Evans Cycles, which it acquired out of administration in 2018.
Frog Bikes was established in 2013 by Jerry and Shelley Lawson and, according to Sky News, has sold more than half a million bikes since it was founded.
Earlier this week, Frasers Group announced that it had acquired two designer outlet centres in Yorkshire and the East Midlands as it looks to boost its share of the UK outlet market.
