Bond Street, Chelmsford signs trio of retail brands

Bond Street, Chelmsford is adding three new retail brands to its line-up.

Womenswear specialist Mint Velvet has recently launched a 4,300 square foot store at the scheme while skincare brand Rituals will open a 3,500 square foot shop in early September.

Penny Grivea, managing director for UK and Ireland at Rituals, said: “The new Bond Street store will help customers to achieve a sense of wellbeing by finding the perfect products that will help them to balance the body, mind and soul. This opening marks an exciting time for the brand in growing our retail presence across the UK.”

In further signings, Accessorize will join the line-up later this month and Indian Street food brand Mowgli will open an outlet this winter.

The new additions have been announced by specialist real estate agency P-Three on behalf of Aquila Holdings, Bond Street’s landlord.

Raquel Sanchez-Diaz, director at P-Three, said: “Rituals, Mint Velvet, Accessorize and exciting dining brand Mowgli, all flocking to Bond Street – shortly after regional debuts for four similarly aspirational retailers – is a great indication of how the destination is performing, as the region’s premium shopping and leisure destination.”

The new brands will sit alongside the likes of Oliver Bonas, Goldsmiths, Hotel Chocolat, TAG Heuer and Everyman Cinema at the scheme.

Dominic Chambers, managing director of Aquila Holdings, said: “Bond Street is the home for premium retail in Chelmsford and we’re delighted to announce these new lettings so soon after the openings of Charles Tyrwhitt, Sweaty Betty and Leon. Leasing demand has been excellent and demonstrates the resilience of Chelmsford as a prime retailing city.”
