Weird Fish operating profit jumps by 54.8% as revenue exceeds £50m
Weird Fish has reported a 54.8% surge in operating profit to £6.5 million for the year to 28 December 2025, as the fashion retailer continued to invest in physical expansion and extend its presence on third-party platforms.
EBITDA rose by 48% to £8 million, excluding exceptionals, while gross margin improved by four percentage points as the company benefited from a reduction in discounts.
Subscribe to TRBRevenue increased by 24% to £52.7 million, with growth across all channels. Weird Fish said its strategy of opening resort and destination stores to balance its multichannel offering helped retail revenue grow by 23% to £12.9 million.
Online revenue rose by 22% to £26.3 million, while concession revenue saw particularly strong growth, increasing by 58% to £7.1 million.
Meanwhile, wholesale revenue grew by 4% to £6.3 million as international sales improved by 16% to £1.6 million.
David Butler, chief executive of Weird Fish, said: “In 2026, we have continued to focus on rebalancing our multi-channel offering. Digital channels remain a key driver and contributor to future revenue. supported by retail sites as brand introducers where we plan to open a further 11 retail sites 19 concessions.
“Trading in 2026 is in line with management’s expectation and strategic plan. and profitability continues to improve. The company plans further expansion in the CJK and Europe in the coming year and is looking forward to further successful growth development in 2026 and beyond.”
