Pentland Brands appoints senior leaders to elevate product marketing

Pentland Bands has made three new senior brand leadership appointments to elevate product marketing for its Speedo, Ellesse, Mitre, Kickers and Canterbury brands.

Simon Breckon has been appointed as senior vice president for Speedo and Jack Richardson as senior vice president for Ellesse, Kickers and Mitre. Meanwhile, Luke Doddrell has become senior vice president for Canterbury.

Breckon previously worked with Diageo before joining Pentland Brands in 2018. Since then, he has led several international brand campaigns, including the Ellesse x Michael Kors collaboration, the award-winning Ellesse x TikTok campaign and the Ellesse x Tomorrowland and Kickers x Roblox partnerships. In addition, he has been credited with building successful commercial partnerships with international markets, including the expansion of the Ellesse brand into the US and China and growth of the Mitre brand in the UK and US.

Having worked with Pentland Brands for the last ten years, Jack Richardson will now handle product and marketing for the Ellesse and Mitre brands globally, as well as Kickers in the UK. During the last two years, he has been vice president for Canterbury and Teamwear where he led the brand’s turnaround in EMEA through profit improvement and increased sales.

Meanwhile, Luke Doddrell will take over Richardson’s previous responsibilities for Canterbury after working for 18 months as the brand’s general manager and Pentland Brands commercial director, Asia Pacific. During this time, he led the delivery of strong profits for the brand in Australia and New Zealand.

All three executives will take on their new roles this month and will report to Penny Herriman, chief marketing officer for Pentland Brands.
