Next to triple footprint at Bluewater
Next is to significantly grow its presence at Bluewater by tripling its store footprint.
The fashion and home retailer is upsizing from its existing 44,600 square foot space into a 133,000 square foot unit previously occupied by House of Fraser.
The move means the store at the Kent-based shopping centre will be one of the retailer’s largest sites in the UK when it opens in 2026.
The state-of-the-art store will offer an enhanced fashion selection for women, men and children, as well as a homeware department and café. Next will also be relocating the American based beauty brand, Bath and Body Works, into a 2,000 square foot neighbouring store.
James Waugh, centre director at Bluewater, said: “We’re thrilled to see Next significantly expanding its presence here at Bluewater, following many successful years in its current space. This move not only reinforces Bluewater’s position as a leading retail destination but also highlights the continued confidence in bricks-and-mortar retail that we’re seeing.
“We will be announcing more details on the new Next store in due course, with an expected opening date to be shared as soon as possible.”
Other brands to join the line-up at Bluewater in recent months include Space NK, Haribo, Sephora, Pull & Bear, Bershka, Aesop, Lindex, and Peter Alexander.
