Next pursues interest in Russell & Bromley

Next is working with a stock clearance specialist on its interest in footwear brand Russell & Bromley, according to a report by Sky News.

The news site said industry sources had suggested that the alliance with Retail Realisation underlined how Next is primarily interested in the Russell & Bromley brand, rather than its physical stores or existing stock.

The 145 year old business has 37 stores and employs around 450 people. It is currently headed up by Andrew Bromley, the fifth generation leader of the company.

Next’s proposal is understood to be one of a number being considered by Russell & Bromley’s advisors, Interpath.

Last year, Russell & Bromley appointed actress Billie Piper as the face of its autumn/winter campaign as part of a dynamic shift under new creative director Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw.
