Marquee Brands acquires majority stake in Robert Cavalli
Marquee Brands is to acquire a majority stake in luxury Italian footwear brand Roberto Cavalli after striking a deal with Damac Group.
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 after which Damac Group will remain a significant shareholder.
Subscribe to TRBFounded in Florence in 1970, Roberto Cavalli will be joining a portfolio of 21 brands that includes the likes of Martha Stewart, Laura Ashley, Sur La Table, BCBGMAXAZRIA and Stance.
Marquee Brands said the addition will strengthen its position in the luxury and lifestyle sectors and increase its portfolio-wide retail sales to around $5 billion.

Marquee Brands and Damac plan to expand the global reach of the Roberto Cavalli with the former accelerating the brand’s growth by introducing new categories, services and experiential touchpoints across Europe, the UK, US, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Marquee Brands has also announced that Milan-based The Level Group will be its core operating partner for the development, manufacture and distribution of Robert Cavalli’s collections for men and women. It will also assume responsibility for retail and eeommerce operations and wholesale distribution in Europe and the US.
