Dr Martens director to step down
Dr Martens has announced that Lynne Weedall, senior independent director and chair of its remuneration and nomination committees, is to step down at the conclusion of its AGM in July.
A former group HR director of both Selfridges and Curry’s, Weedall has been a member of the footwear brand’s board for almost six years.
Subscribe to TRBDr Martens said a succession process to appoint her replacement has already begun and is “well progressed” with a further announcement to be made in due course.
Paul Mason, chairman of Dr Martens, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Lynne for her significant contributions since the company’s IPO in 2021.
“She has brought sound judgement, constructive challenge and a strong governance mindset, and I have greatly valued her counsel and support.”
Last week, Dr Martens announced that it had returned to profit growth in the year to 29 March as the company continues to move from a channel led to a “consumer-first” operating model.
