Base opens flagship store at Bluewater

Luxury childrenswear retailer Base has opened a flagship store at the Bluewater shopping centre.

Offering designer clothing for boys and girls aged up to 16, the shop has enabled the retailer to expand its range of international luxury brands by adding Fendi, Palm Angels, Off White and Tartine Et Chocolat.

The store will also sell a range of lifestyle products, including a new line of designer pushchairs and prams.

To celebrate the opening, Base hosted an exclusive launch event featuring a range of celebrities and influencers which included entrepreneur and Apprentice winner, Carina Lepore.

Base managing director Marc Granditer said: “We started with a singular vision of creating the best kids wear store in Europe, taking inspiration from luxury brands and retailers to create a best-in-class experience for our loyal customers.”

The retailer has also launched its annual Face Of Base modelling competition where customers have the chance to model  for Base and become a brand ambassador for a year. Base is recruiting for 12 modelling roles split across the three age groups of  baby (newborn to 12 months), junior (four to six years), and youth (ten to 14 years).
