SuperTrash chooses Liverpool One for second UK store

Dutch fashion label, SuperTrash, is to open it second UK store, and its first outside of London, at Liverpool ONE.

Spanning 3,057 square feet, the shop will be situated on lower South John Street, adjacent to the new Zara regional flagship.

Due to open at the beginning of August, the store will stock the SuperTrash Collection, including clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.

Established by fashion entrepreneur Olcay Gulsen in 2004, SuperTrash currently has 15 stores worldwide as well as an online store. The brand is also sold through high-end boutiques in 24 countries in Europe and America.

Gulsen said: “With its reputation as the region’s fashion focus, Liverpool ONE is perfect for our debut outside London. More than anywhere else in the UK at the moment, it has everything we look for when we open stores; character, a cosmopolitan mix of customers, a strong identity, and a great line-up of brands with a similar ethos and style to our own. This is reflected in the great online sales we already have from the region, centred on Liverpool, which gives us a great starting point from which to build our success.”

Last week, Hugo Boss unveiled plans to upsize its store on Liverpool ONE’s Peter’s Lane, which will include the first Hugo Boss womenswear department in Liverpool.

Operated by Grosvenor Fund Management, Liverpool ONE said its catchment is now 73% larger than in 2008. It has also experienced a 58% increase in its share of North West consumer spend since opening.

Miles Dunnett, director of portfolio management at GFM, said: “Securing the first SuperTrash outside London is a great accolade for Liverpool ONE, and a reflection of the strong demand from leading fashion and lifestyle brands to join in our success. SuperTrash’s unique style and affordable luxury are a great complement to our existing line-up, and the store is going to be a hit with visitors.”
