Carlo Pazolini appoints Lee Wood as creative director

Luxury footwear and accessories brand Carlo Pazolini has appointed British designer Lee Wood as creative director.

Wood has joined the business from Gianni Versace where he worked for 15 years, most recently as head of license accessories. In 2013, he also founded his own design studio – Studio L72.

Carlo Pazolini has more than 250 shops throughout Italy, Russia, the UK and US, as well as in countries in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. It produces items under two trademarks – Carlo Pazolini and Carlo Pazolini Couture.

Wood’s first collection of shoes and accessories for the brand will go on sale at the end of January 2015.

He said: “I face a big task – making the brand recognizable for European and American markets. It goes without saying that I find such a challenge very exciting.”

Carlo Pazolini chief brand officer Arkady Reznik added: “All brands begin with an idea, and its originality will determine if it follows trends or sets them. Lee Wood’s innovative ideas 100% reflect our vision for developing Carlo Pazolini, and his broad experience and talent will doubtless open up new opportunities for us.”
