Holland & Barrett appoints new branding and packaging agency

Health food retailer Holland & Barrett has appointed a new agency to handle the branding and packaging design for its fruit, nuts, seeds and snack product range.

After working with Emma Hobbs, group brand manager at H&B parent company NBTY Europe and her specialist branding team, Point 6 Design has created a new visual design for the key merchandising category which features over 300 lines.

Sally Forsyth Spark, client services director for Point 6 Design, said: “The challenge for Point 6 is to inject the product with high visual appeal setting the range apart to attract a wide consumer audience. As a product often consumed ‘on the go’, another imperative is the look and feel has not only to embody the health food retailer ‘The Good Life’ proposition, but act as an ambassador for it in the marketplace to resonate with customers old and new.

“The project covered the full range of our services, starting with a strategic review of the market, competitors and customer insight. We used this to develop creative ideas for the range architecture, as well as stand out designs for the completely re-vamped packaging.”

The new visual design is due in H&B stores this month.
