WH Smith appoints finance director
Robert Moorhead joins retailer from Specsavers
WH Smith has appointed Robert Moorhead as finance director of its UK retail business.
Moorhead joins WH Smith in the autumn, succeeding interim finance director Mark McMenemy.
He is currently with optician Specsavers, where he has been group finance director since 2002, and was previously finance director at World Duty Free Europe. He has also held senior retail financial management positions with B&Q and Kingfisher.
Moorhead qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse after graduating from St. Andrews University.

“His background will be particularly valuable as we turnaround the performance of the High Street business.”
