Radley CEO Xavier Simonet to step down

Premium handbag brand Radley has announced that its chief executive Xavier Simonet is to step down after two years with the business.

Simonet is returning to Australia, where he lived with his family prior to joining Radley, to become chief executive of Kathmandu in Melbourne.

Roger Best, Radley chairman, said: “Under Xavier’s leadership Radley has seen a steady growth in profits and started to become a truly international brand, establishing itself globally as a leading British premium handbag and accessories brand. We will now appoint a new CEO who will continue that growth journey.”

Radley recently announced strong UK Christmas trading with like-for-like sales rising by 11%. The company operates 33 stores in the UK and distributes to 14 international markets including Germany, Japan, South East Asia and Taiwan.
