Pets at Home launches next-generation flagship pet care centre in New Malden

Pets at Home has unveiled its flagship Pet Care Centre in New Malden, marking a £2.2 million transformation – the largest single investment in its history.

Opening on Friday, 29th November, this 27,360 sq. ft. destination sets a new gold standard in pet care, combining advanced facilities, expanded services, and innovative spaces for pets and their owners.

Grand Opening Highlights

The launch celebration will feature free games, selfie spots, 500 goody bags, and a “Golden Bone” treasure hunt in Raynes Park Sports Ground and Taunton Avenue, with £50 gift vouchers up for grabs*.

New Centre Features

  • Nutrition Hub: Expanded fresh, frozen, and raw food options, a treat bar, and feeding advice.
  • Health Centre: Access to medications, free weighing scales, and everyday healthcare support.
  • Largest Live Pet Zone: Interactive areas for small animals, aquatics, and reptiles, plus workshops and digital experiences.
  • Grooming Salon: 50% more capacity, six tables, three baths, and a pre-groom “Check Point.”
  • Community Zone: Workshops, advice, recycling, and charity donation spaces.

Enhanced Veterinary Services

The rebranded Vets for Pets practice now offers:

  • Six consultation rooms, separate wards, and waiting areas for different species.
  • Upgraded imaging suite and dental facilities.
  • A second operating theatre and expanded nurse consultation services.

Store Manager Bart Kemal said: “This isn’t just a store – it’s a haven for pet lovers. We’ve created a unique space that celebrates the joy of pet ownership, and we can’t wait to welcome customers to explore everything we’ve built.”

Practice Owner Michelle Akande added: “With our upgraded facilities, we’re excited to continue delivering top-quality care for the pets and people of New Malden.”

The new centre is open seven days a week. Customers can stay updated via the website and sign up for Pets Club for exclusive offers and advice.
