New River makes new asset management appointment

New River has appointed Natasha Southwick as assistant asset manager within its 20-strong asset management team.

Southwick has joined the business from Knight Frank where she specialised in retail and leisure leasing and investment.

At New River, she will support the asset management team in delivering its strategic objectives across the company’s retail portfolio.

Stuart Mitchell, director at New River, said: “Town centres are changing and as a business we are taking a proactive approach to reimagining them for the future, meeting modern consumer needs and delivering the right blend of community uses, leisure facilities and convenience retail that remain in demand.

“This requires a collaborative and forward-thinking approach and our market-leading asset management team is delivering this vision across our portfolio. In that vein, we are pleased to expand the team with Natasha’s appointment.”

New River has a portfolio of 35 UK shopping centres and also manages assets on behalf of third-party owners.

Southwick’s team focuses on New River’s southern retail portfolio which includes 13 community shopping centres.
