Merry Hill now 95% let after 30,000 square feet of leasing

Merry Hill has announced that it is now 95% let after adding further variety to its brand mix with 30,000 square feet of leasing completed across 11 operators.

Major brands taking space in the lower level of the scheme’s Southern Mall have included Hey Bargain, which has relaunched in a 10,000 square foot unit, and health and beauty retailer Savers, which has relocated into a 5,000 square foot shop. In addition, Greggs has upsized into a 2,000 square foot space.

The lettings follow a series of recent lease renewals nearby, including Shoe Zone, Bodycare, Bonmarché, Global Mobile, Card Factory, Subway, and MyPhone, comprising a total of 15,000 square feet of floorspace in the mall.

Nick Round, senior asset manager at Sovereign Centros from CBRE, on behalf of Merry Hill, said: “Merry Hill’s strength lies in its ability to offer a broad and complete retail experience, seamlessly blending lower price point brands with more premium offers.

“The recent flurry of brand investment across the destination exemplifies this balance, showcasing our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our extensive community and reinforcing our position as a leading super-regional retail destination in the UK.”

Merry Hill has also seen the recent opening of Cotswold Outdoor’s triple fascia store, which also houses Runners Need and Snow + Rock.
