Head of marketing appointed for The Lexicon Bracknell

Sue Boor has been named as head of marketing for The Lexicon Bracknell, the new £240 million retail and leisure project in Bracknell town centre.

Appointed by asset manager Cushman & Wakefield, Boor is joining the business from M&G Real Estate where she was head of marketing for Manchester Arndale which is jointly owned by M&G Real Estate and Intu Properties.

During her time at M&G Real Estate, she also oversaw the implementation of the marketing projects across the M&G Real Estate shopping centre portfolio, as well as a range of marketing campaigns, events and promotions. In addition, she has served as Jury Chair for Revo’s Purple Apple Marketing Awards and launched the first regional shopping centre in the South West with The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.

The Lexicon Bracknell is being developed by The Bracknell Regeneration Partnership, a 50:50 joint venture between Legal & General Capital and Schroder UK Real Estate Fund, together with Bracknell Forest Council. On completion, the centre will have 580,000 square feet of new retail, dining and leisure space.

Now 70% let, the anchor tenant is the Fenwick department store. Other retailers include the likes of M&S, TopShop, TopMan, Next, H&M, River Island and Primark.

Pat Sutton, associate director of retail asset services at Cushman & Wakefield, said, “We are delighted that Sue Boor will be joining the team at The Lexicon Bracknell. Sue’s experience will be invaluable in cementing The Lexicon as a strong and enduring brand for Bracknell and Berkshire, building anticipation in the run up to opening, as well as continuing to drive footfall and excitement, post launch in September 2017.”
