GDPR Compliance for Fashion and Lifestyle Brands from Futura

Fashion and lifestyle retail technology specialist Futura Retail Solutions is making GDPR compliance one step easier for users with a new data module designed for easy manipulation and editing of customer data en masse, ensuring speed and accuracy for customer data management.

The new GDPR module extends the functionality of Futura4Data, a suite of time saving tools with a flexible user-friendly interface to import and export bulk data in Futura using files rather than manual data entry. With extensive data validation it helps to improve productivity and accuracy for a range of otherwise time-consuming data entry and editing tasks.
The new GSPR module allows retailers to easily manipulate customer address and contact data by simplifying the import and export of the data to and from Futura, using csv and excel files, for bulk editing. It includes options to delete or empty specific address fields and to manage the crucial ‘opt in’, ‘opt out’ settings. The tool can also be used to make address data completely anonymous or to delete it entirely.

For added security Futura4Data has also been improved to manage access rights to individual modules within Futura4Data by specific users. The new GDPR module function by default is switched off to ensure only authorised users are able to access this data.

In addition to the new GDPR module Futura retail clients benefit from a range of intuitive customer data capture screens and improvements at the POS with Wizard style navigation and dynamically changing keyboards to improve data accuracy, quality and compliance for all customer data and preferences.
