EVENT: WIRED Smarter 2018, London, October 9, 2018

Curated by WIRED’s award-winning editorial team and set as a multi-track, one-day event, WIRED Smarter will host more than 30 speakers from a variety of industries, backgrounds and perspectives.

Curated by WIRED’s award-winning editorial team, WIRED Smarter will harness the strengths of its Retail, Energy, Money and Security summits to offer delegates a wider view of the disruption shaping today’s business world – from AI to the blockchain, from cybersecurity to fintech – as well as industry-specific challenges and opportunities.

Set as a multi-track, one-day event, WIRED Smarter will host more than 30 speakers from a variety of industries, backgrounds and perspectives. Expect top-level headline keynotes, trend-led industry briefings, case-study dissections and lightning showcases from a wide range of inspirational startups and scaleups. As with other WIRED events, the day will culminate in an evening reception with the Test Lab’s selection of hands-on demos and fun exhibits.

Keynote speakers at WIRED Smarter already include former investment banker Will Shu, who founded Deliveroo in 2013, and has since scaled the food delivery company from a budding startup with a team of five to a $2bn tech business operating in 12 countries with 2,000+ employees in just under five years; and Herminia Ibarra, The Charles Handy Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School, who is often cited for her research and work in organisational behavior and leader development, and will discuss the critical changes in leadership in the age of artificial intelligence.
