DSGi to transform its communications with managed services deal

DSGi has signed a three-year deal with Azzurri Communications for the provision of its Retail Application Network.

The managed Wide Area Network (WAN) and Local Area Network (LAN) services will connect DSGi’s retail outlets, call centres, distribution centres and headquarters, and will help facilitate the future roll-out of innovative in-store concessions, applications and consumer services, with the aim of driving new sales, improving the customer experience and enhancing service delivery. The service is also expected to generate significant savings for DSGi over the course of the contract.Rob Douglas, retail support purchasing director for DSGi commented: “Azzurri’s RAN challenges the status quo of network provision and provides us with an architecture that can flex and change according to the demands of our varied and dynamic retail estate. The VNO model they employ will continuously evaluate and adjust the service to ensure we benefit from the best products and tariffs in the marketplace, helping us to continually drive down both capital and operational expenditure; not just at contract signature.”
