AURES UK brand new innovations for 2019
AURES will showcase its latest innovations with their partners at this year’s RetailEXPO, at Olympia London on the 1st and 2nd of May. Two ranges of POS and new KIOSK hardware solutions designed to simplify and streamline the customer journey and experience at the point of service.
JAZZ is a unique concept in point-of-service IT equipment that offers a wide range of configurations; its sleek and timeless design is faithful to the spirit and fundamentals of AURES.
Designed to adapt to the evolution of all POS IT solutions, the various options offered by the range’s equipment make it possible to support all steps of the customer journey.
Available in its classic EPOS version standing on its base (JAZZ), in its VESA pole mounted version (JAZZPOLE) or as a Self-Check Out Kiosk called JAZZSCO, the new hardware solution is versatile and flexible.
• A single motherboard
Based on the same motherboard, the different JAZZ options associated with each other at the point of sale constitute IT platforms whose software updates and hardware maintenance are extremely harmonised and simplified.
Supported by the latest generations of fanless processors, this motherboard is protected by a very rigid miniaturized compact case (only 10 cm on each side) that accommodates two SSD M2 slots as well as a RAM memory; this case can be clipped onto the back of the screen and is accessible without tools.
• A single USB type C cable
The systems of the JAZZ family incorporate a new but proven technology, the advantage of which is the very significant reduction in connectivity: indeed, a single USB cable type C is sufficient for the simultaneous transmission of all the signals necessary for its operation (power supply, USB and video data);
All unnecessary and unsightly wiring is eliminated and the system’s reliability is enhanced (e. g. fewer connector contacts exposed to vibration risks).
• A slim cast aluminium structure
The elegant structure of JAZZ – in the shape of a “Z” in its classical POS version – is made of cast aluminium and zinc, to increase its rigidity and promote optimal cooling; it extends and folds up completely thanks to a slender double hinge arm and thus allows the ultra-flat touch screen to position itself in an ergonomic way.
Developed primarily for the hospitality and external catering sectors, TWIST is a minimalistic designed, ultra-compact POS terminal where style has not been sacrificed for functionality nor functionality for style.
A tempered glass touchscreen gives the unit a ruggedness in harsh environments whilst exposing the edge of the glass gives the EPOS a very different look. The simple design has all of the features of a standard POS system whilst its small footprint is ideally suited to where space saving is key!
The 13.3” PCT multi-touch screen has been designed so that it can adapt itself into multiple viewing angles. Its versatility allows it to be positioned as a desktop style POS or recessed seamlessly into a sales counter. The fixed base allows the screen to auto rotate in one fluid motion, much like a tablet or smart phone. The unique silicon rubber membrane stand and cable cover ensures it is non-slip and also provides easy access to the cable management.
The motherboard of the TWIST – protected by the tough spill proof housing – incorporates the same technology as the AURES JAZZ range and supports a choice of three types of powerful, mobile and fanless embedded processors. There are currently three versions of the AURES processor module which are the J1900, i3 and i5.
Various peripherals can be connected to the device’s multiple I/O ports including several USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet which enables the user to build the TWIST into a smooth but totally adaptable POS. The back-cover clips off giving easy access to the mainboard, which can be quickly replaced for maintenance purposes without the need for any tools.
In the same respect as the AURES JAZZ range, the TWIST combines new technology which allows connectivity using a single USB-C cable, which is more than capable of conducting multiple functions such as the power, USB and video data.
