Martin Francis
former Interim Managing Director
Martin Francis was until very recently the Interim MD at Watchshop & The Watch Hut (Watches of Switzerland Group). Here he initiated a turn-around strategy impacting people, technology and marketing, following market disruption by Amazon, conducted full end-to-end business review and reduced cost base improving EBITDA. he has also re-platformed website from legacy platform within 3 months & redesigned the customer journey to improve conversion. Prior to this, he was the Chief Customer Officer at Woolovers for two years and prior to that, Martin was the Director of Global Multichannel Trading for House of Fraser.
Lalit Suryawanshi

Lalit Suryawanshi is an Enterprise Architect at Wilko, with significant experience in working on digital transformation and large information technology projects, particularly with leading business model and operating model generation. Lalit has a proven track record of architecting and designing IT systems that deliver transformational change and exceptional results. A technology and business strategy thought leader, he has experience of working in the retail, logistics, airlines and consultancy sectors. Lalit has worked in companies like Asda, Walmart, Hermes, Howdens Joinery, QVC and Air Canada.
Hilary Large
Sales & Marketing Director
Hilary Large works as a part-time Marketing Director with growing and ambitious businesses, providing them with all the skills and experience for the business to achieve outstanding results. She provides strategic support to businesses who do not have, cannot afford or do not feel the need for a full time senior level marketing director.
Bunty Stokes
Managing Director
Bunty Stokes has over 30 years in the retail industry including 17 years online experience, focused specifically on commercial and strategic trading within the premium and luxury sectors of the Fashion, Beauty and lifestyle sectors. She has experience in the development, adaptation and integration of commercial and trading strategy both on and off line as well as defining vision, value, goals and strategy for start up and launch businesses. Bunty has strong leadership skills from building, and creating productive teams through to nurturing, training and restructuring for growth.
Gracia Amico
Non-Executive Director
Gracia Amico has nearly two decades of eCommerce and digital experience up to C-suite level, her knowledge was gained working for global multi-channel retailers and entrepreneurial pure players. She was part of the first wave of eCommerce start-ups back in 2000, securing venture capital investment for her own dotcom company. Since then she has been on the Board of Hobbs as eCommerce Director, headed up Topman’s eCommerce department and set up the online marketing strategy at Burberry, she most recently held the position of CEO at PetsPyjamas. Gracia is currently holding a Non-Executive Director role for multi-million pound online retailer, Ruroc and is also a board advisor for BounceX and for Stitched.. Amongst collecting a multitude of industry awards, she was in 2015 and 2016 recognised as one of the top 50 most powerful people in online retail with her entry in the top 50 Retail Week Power List.
Melanie Goldsmith
Managing Director
Melanie Goldsmith is the Co-Founder of Smith & Sinclair, a business focused on the mission to make ‘adulting’ more fun. The company innovates in the alcohol sector launching new products ranging from Alcoholic Cocktail Gummies to Cocktail FIZZ. The company has grown from a market stall to manufacturing and selling over a million alcoholic cocktail gummies last year.

Sayed Gaffar

In his current role, Sayed Gaffar is responsible for the development of the digital strategy for the consumer business unit of Velcro Companies, in order to connect with customers to the brand across all regions and markets. Sayed has over 20 years of international experience garnered from working in various geographies and functions ranging from information technology, customer services, supply chain & logistics, marketing, and eCommerce. He has a passion for using technology in solving business challenges and improving the customer experience. He has worked with and consulted various multi-national and local businesses including Mothercare, DHL Express, Toyota, Ford Motor Company, HSBC, Arcapita Finance House, General Motors, the Dubai Customs Authority to name a few.
Anouk de Lange
eCommerce & Marketing Director
Having worn many hats in her +10 years career, Anouk de Lange has had the pleasure to work for agencies, networks, brands and publishers alike. As a result, she takes on the challenges retail brands face from a multi-disciplinary, multi-lingual and cross-cultural perspective. As a seasoned programmatic marketer and sales strategist, her passion is to invent new, more powerful and profitable ways to turn customer and market insights into revenue.
Ed Whatmore
eCommerce Director
Ed Whatmore is the eCommerce Director for Mountain Warehouse. Having joined the company in 2012, he has overseen the rapid growth of the online business in the UK alongside digital expansion into North America, Europe and beyond. He is responsible for the full online marketing mix and Ecommerce function with a keen interest in data driven strategy, user experience and CRM.
Tim Stevens
Operations and Logistcs Manager
Tim Stevens is Operations and Logistics Manager with Findmeagift.com and has been involved in logistics all his life! After working with his father for a few years, he took an agency job with Electrolux, where he started off as a driver and 20 years later was the Logistics Quality Manager not only for the UK but Ireland and Denmark too. Tim wanted to progress and take his career to the next level, so departed for a new challenge with Gerflor as their Logistics manager. He was promoted to Logistics and Operations Manager within two years and really enjoyed his time there. After five years, a new challenge was calling and that’s when he found Find Me A Gift.

Charles-Henri Duclos
Digital & Store Concept Coordinator
Charles Henri Duclos has been the Digital and Store Concept Coordinator at Decathlon since 2015. Decathlon have opened 28 stores in 3 years, included the Surrey Quays Flagship's experience store. Charles has worked a lot to improve the customer journey and to convey the message of Decathlon’s innovation around creating their own products in their own Brand's Signatures, which focus deeply on each sport. He is very passionate about retail and sport, prior to Decathlon Charles owned his own printing company in Paris, before deciding to come to London where he was delighted to participate in the Decathlon UK growing project.

Martin Preen is the CEO of Buster + Punch. In his early career, he trained as a Chartered Accountant but soon discovered that creativity and innovation were his passions. Across a diverse career, from investment banking, business intelligence and eCommerce software development, manufacturing, product development through to consulting on digital banking in Africa, Martin is now leading the epic growth of the omnichannel Buster+Punch brand.
Trevor Gordon
Senior Director - Global Omnichannel Retail
Trevor Gordon is currently Global Director of Omni-Channel Retail at Sodexo (Sodexo is a Global Services company that operates in 80 countries and serves over 100 million customers a day). He has extensive experience of successfully building and leading teams for Global Brands on both client and agency side. Specialising in the Transformation and Digitalisation of consumer facing businesses in a broad range of sectors including retail, telco, entertainment, and financial services. This through a combination of focused common sense, getting stuff done and making a profitable difference through developing innovative customer & product propositions in the Digital age resulting in business growth and streamlined processes to improve margins. Recent focus has been delivering Digital Transformation & Omni-channel B2C/B2B2C/B2B change from the customer point of view to help keep them loyal to client brands through customer insight.

Dr Geraint Evans is an award-winning international marketing professional, board advisor and academic researcher. He has held a variety of global marketing leadership roles and delivered work for brands such as Odeon Cinemas Group, Virgin Media, Tesco, Boots and Whitbread. Geraint’s focus areas for writing and speaking are emerging trends in customer behaviour, all things digital, brand marketing and product innovation
Kathryn Malloch
Head of Customer Experience
Kathryn Malloch is Head of Customer Experience at Hammerson. She is responsible for shaping the experience within Hammerson’s shopping centres and retail parks to help create destinations that excite shoppers, attract retailers, reward investors and serve communities. During her time at Hammerson she has led a number of innovative projects, including the launch of 'Style Seeker' which uses AI visual search technology to help shoppers find products easily. Kathryn previously worked for Home Retail Group for 12 years and during her time there she successfully delivered a number of large scale multi-channel transformation projects, including the implementation of click & collect for Homebase.com. Kathryn’s experience and background gives her an excellent understanding of emerging technologies and trends in both the retail & property sector.
Sam Hill
Head of Software Engineering
Sam Hill has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of software creation and is currently the Head of Software Engineering at the BBC, where his role is to primarily empower others to succeed in theirs. He leads a team of over 300 people that are creating the BBC of the future ready for the next generation of broadcast. The team spans five core areas of the BBC - Editorial Services (News/Sport), Content Distribution, Media Services (iPlayer/Radio), Audience (accounts) and Archive - which together enables the entire cycle of the BBC’s output that reaches 92% of the UK Adult population each week, streams nearly 300 million programmes every month via iPlayer; allows 35 million people to login to a personalised experience, whilst preserving all of the BBC's output for future generations in the world’s largest Digital Archive of broadcast content. Before joining the BBC, Sam spent 9 years in retail at Tesco as Head of Solution Architecture and then Marks and Spencer, as Head of Platform Technologies.

With a background in product development and wearable tech, Elena has carved out a high profile career as a tech consultant working with the BBC, Diageo, Unilever, Audi, and the London Olympics. She has been featured in Vogue , Forbes and MIT Technology Review, and wowed audiences at TED and Oxford University.
Inspired by Unruly’s co-founder Sarah Wood, Elena joined the Unruly family in early
2018 as a resident Futurist. As a believer in the power of brands and advertising to
make the world a better place, Elena educates brands and publishers about the future
of ambient technology in the Home, and how it will affect the way they connect with
audiences.

Ambitious, tenacious and sales-focused CEO with 20 years’ experience in both corporate and private equity-backed businesses, Andrew’s expertise is in general management, strategy, business planning, sales and marketing, deal creation, client and account management and leadership. Adrian Thompson

Adrian Thompson is the CEO and founder of imageHOLDERS. Adrian began his journey 20 years ago, designing and developing gift and home products. In 2003 he established imageHOLDERS to develop solutions to support digital branding in the form of print and the rising AV market. Following trials of ‘slim kiosks’, and the release of the iPad, imageHOLDERS established themselves as one of the first to develop tablet enclosure kiosks. Working to provide solutions for self-service payment terminals to entertainment and leisure, Adrian’s objective is to allow businesses to easily utilise technology to increase customer experience and engagement. Ben Stagg

Ben Stagg is responsible for a team of client managers at Barclaycard, who focus on managing the relationships of 200 national brands. His team provide strategic advice on how clients can best manage their payment requirements. Throughout his career he has held a number of Client and Account Manager roles, working with some of the most recognisable brands in the UK, including Orange, Hilton, Post Office, IHG, Audi and RBS. Over the past 10 years he has worked across a number of payment channels within Barclaycard, and brings this knowledge and expertise to help support some of our most recognised brands.

Eduard is now looking to ramp up the partner ecosystem across multiple sectors; retail, pharmacy, food & beverage, and grocery, ensuring the timely, efficient and high quality implementation of On the dot technology.

Alan Holcroft is the Sales Director for Cegid Northern Europe and has 20 years’ experience in the retail technology sector, helping retailers grow their business and overcoming challenges. He has worked with many well-known UK and International brands during this time and joined Cegid four years ago to help them develop their activities in Northern Europe. Cegid has enjoyed significant growth in the last few years mainly due to their focus on meeting the demands of modern retailing.
