EVENTS - FORUMS:GDPR for HR Q&A

LATEST TWEETS

Working in partnership with Shoosmiths, The Retail Bulletin is pleased to  present this essential forum on the tricky issues that HR teams need to deal with right now as a result of the forthcoming GDPR.

Date:  Wednesday 24 January 2018
Time: 8:30am – 10:30am
Venue: 6th Floor, 1 St Martin's Le Grand, London EC1A 4AS
Cost: Priceless
Contact: Karen Howard
Email: karen.howard@theretailbulletin.com

The GDPR represents the most important shift in European data protection legislation since the introduction of the Data Protection Act in 1998. It will present significant challenges for many businesses that handle customer or employee data.

This breakfast seminar is relevant for all HR professionals working in retail. As well as covering the crucial issues, the forum will also include Q&A sessions.

Areas we will cover:

  • A privacy and data protection snapshot of key concepts and definitions

  • An overview of key compliance changes the GDPR represents for HR, including:
    Consent management
    Data subject rights
    Transparency and accountability
    Breach notification

  • A focus on real-world considerations for HR, including:
How to conduct data protection audits
Privacy impact assessments - how and when
What to do with contracts and policies
    Handling subject access requests.

You are welcome to pass on the details to a colleague (or bring up to two colleagues with you) but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
