WH Smith to open new stores at Fijis Nadi International Airport
WH Smith is to open two stores at Fijis Nadi International Airport after being awarded the exclusive contract for news, books and convenience in partnership with The Tappoo Group.
Fiji is already home to two WH Smith stores in Suva and Port Denarau. Due to open in late 2015, the new stores will feature the latest WH Smith design in fixtures and fittings and will be situated in both the airside and landside lounges.
Louis de Bourgoing, WH Smith international director, said: “We are delighted to be opening two stores in Nadi International Airport and to be expanding our presence on the islands. We firmly believe that these new stores will complement the existing WH Smith stores locally and provide international travellers with a one-stop-shop solution ahead of their flight.“
WH Smith is now present in 24 international airports outside of the UK and in 30 UK airports. The retailer has more than 1,300 stores both in the UK and internationally, and more than 50 in the region, including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and China.
