Welcome Break launches exclusive BBC Children in Need summer treats
Motorway service operator Welcome Break is building on its partnership with BBC Children in Need by launching an exclusive Pudsey Bear childrenÂ’s T-shirt and themed rock sticks as it aims to beat the amount it raised for the charity last year.
The ‘Are We There Yet?’ t-shirt with Pudsey Bear motif and sticks of rock with ‘Pudsey Bear’ stamped throughout are the latest addition to the host of activities Welcome Break runs throughout the year to support Children in Need.
Last year, the company raised over £520,000 for the charity and is determined to beat that total by the end of 2014. The exclusive t-shirts retail for £4.99 each and the rock costs £1 per stick, with all the profits going directly to Children in Need.
Rod McKie, chief executive of Welcome Break, said: “We’re really proud to support BBC Children in Need, and raised a huge amount of money for them last year. However, we’re determined to beat that figure this year, and thought the t-shirts and rock would be a fun final treat for those travelling back from their summer holidays, while still raising money for this fantastic charity.”
