Weekday to expand into Iceland and Luxembourg

H&M owned Weekday will open its first stores in Iceland and Luxembourg next year.

Due to launch in the spring/summer, the Iceland store will be situated in Smáralind, Iceland’s largest shopping centre, in the greater Reykjavik area.

Meanwhile, the first store in Luxembourg will be in the new La Cloche d’Or shopping centre in the heart of the new Luxembourg city quarter.

Weekday will also be expanding its presence in Belgium with two new stores. The first store will open in early spring in Leuven, while the second store in Sint-Pieters Nieuwstraat in Ghent will launch in the late summer. The openings will mean that Weekday has a total of five stores in the country.

Launched in 2002 in Stockholm as a denim and fashion brand, Weekday also operates stores in Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the UK,

Earlier this week, H&M confirmed that it will be closing its Cheap Monday retail brand, including its store in the UK, as it looks to focus on its core business.
