Waitrose voted best UK supermarket in shopper poll
Waitrose has come top in this yearÂ’s Which? supermarkets survey, narrowly beating last year's winner, Aldi.
Which? said customers were found to love almost everything about Waitrose as it was awarded top marks for customer service, store environment and its own-label and fresh products.
Waitrose’s overall customer score was 73%, while Aldi, which earned a five-star rating for its pricing, scored 72%.
Iceland, Lidl and Marks & Spencer were also rated highly in the survey of 7,001 UK supermarket shoppers.
Meanwhile, Ocado came top of the online supermarket table for the fifth year running despite facing stiffer competition this year as more online supermarkets were included in the survey with the addition of Iceland and Morrisons.
