Waitrose kicks off Christmas advertising campaign
The 90 second advert, which is a teaser for the 'Waitrose School of Magic' campaign, made its debut on Saturday during X Factor breaks.
The celebrity chefs invited viewers to ‘serve up a little magic this Christmas' and gave a preview of what the retailer is offering in-store during the festive season.
Smith was seen peparing her classic Christmas cake using a Delia's Classic Christmas Cake Prepared Ingredients Box. Viewers were then taken to a classroom where Blumenthal was hidden behind smoke and dry ice. He then popped up to show off his popular Mince Pies with Pine Scented Sugar, and his Christmas showpiece, the Waitrose Black Forest Buche. The camera then moved back to Smith who created a Delia's Spiced Cranberry and Orange Relish using her new Prepared Ingredients Pack.
Rupert Thomas, marketing director at Waitrose commented: "Christmas is full of tradition, rituals and magic. Delia and Heston show us how we can all add that extra special sparkling touch of magic to our Christmas celebrations this year."
