Vodafone launches new 'customer hub' on London's Oxford Street

Vodafone has opened a new experiential store on London’s Oxford Street as the company looks to offer customers more than a traditional retail environment.

In addition to product experience zones, the store includes work spaces for business customers, a repair hub, click and collect zones, and a “youth area”.

The Repairhub provides a space for customers to meet Vodafone’s tech experts who will fix phones and assist with issues such as screen repairs, battery replacements and software updates. The repairs will be done on the same day with a fix within the hour, and customers will be offered a free phone loan while they wait. The service will also be made available to people on other networks.

Customers will also be able to book tutorials with a member of Vodafone’s in-store team to help them learn more about their devices. Prices start from £20 for 35 minutes.

In addition, the store’s connected living space will offer live demos of Vodafone’s V-Home smart security system and other smart home products such as the Google Home and Philips Hue lightbulbs. The new store also showcases V by Vodafone products such as the V-Pet, V-Bag and V-Camera.

Meanwhile, the Workhub will offer business and enterprise customers an area to use for meetings or a flexible working space. Business customers can benefit from free Wi-Fi, coffee and a quiet space to work in London.

The shop also includes VOXI – VOXI by Vodafone, a mobile offering dedicated to customers aged 29 and under. The service will have its own “youth area” in-store where customers can enjoy social media and play interactive games.

The store also features a space for group booking or events including seminars and talks on mobile safety and security.
